Cullen grew up in rural North Carolina, but now lives in the St. Louis area with his wife Cindy and his son Jackson. His noir/horror comic (and first collaboration with Brian Hurtt), The Damned, was published in 2007 by Oni Press. The follow-up, The Damned: Prodigal Sons, was released in 2008. In addition to The Sixth Gun, his current projects include Crooked Hills, a middle reader horror prose series from Evileye Books; The Tooth, an original graphic novel from Oni Press; and various work for Marvel and DC. Somewhere along the way, Cullen founded Undaunted Press and edited the critically acclaimed small press horror magazine, Whispers from the Shattered Forum.

All writers must pay their dues, and Cullen has worked various odd jobs, including Alien Autopsy Specialist, Rodeo Clown, Professional Wrestler Manager, and Sasquatch Wrangler.

And, yes, he has fought for his life against mountain lions and he did perform on stage as the World's Youngest Hypnotist. Buy him a drink sometime, and he'll tell you all about it.

Top review from the United States

Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2017
X-men Blue continues as we learn why the time-displaced X-men first class decided to join Magneto in the first place via Jean Grey and her interaction with the Master of Magnetism. Despite being cautious over his actions Jean does learn that he means what he says about protecting mutant kind as he is willing to let her read his mind, and that's a big thing (as I see it since Magneto is very guarded).

Back at the base after a danger room session Beast and Iceman are the only ones that didn't show up causing concern and get some possible stories down the line regarding these two. For Bobby Drake it's matters of the heart when it comes to his boyfriend, one of thee Nu-Human's that was introduced in "All New X-men" last year and established them being couple, have hit a reef as said Inhuman isn't responding to call or text and regardless if you aren't a fan of such things, it's a universal rule that it means they are in trouble.

For Beast his is more intriguing; he's learning to harness magic and that could possible bring disaster for his teammates down the line as he might have conjured something unknown that might be manipulating him or he feels empathy with.

If that's the case I would think it would be Madelyne Pryor from the last "All New X-Men" line as she caused havoc for the team and blew off somewhere to parts unknown but need more hints as the comic goes along.

By the end as X-men Blue head off to deal with some Sentinels, Erik is left alone and the reader learns of one of his real intentions for wanting to bring them under his wing. No spoilers but it's pretty easy to figure out if you've been following them since they came to (now known) as Earth Prime formerly "Earth 616".

X-men Blue continues to keep me engaged with the writing and the drawings are nice to look at. I will continue reading this series as it continues.
