X-force series seems to get renewed/ revived/ restarted so often. I do wish that there was a bit more unique story line or even characters that are less invincible take up the mantle. X-force seems to relentless attack or get into fights with those that want to capture the x-gene, kill mutants etc. I know X-force kills and does what they feel they need to however let's get a new angle!

Love it

Frenetic, crazy and full of action like in the 90s, with a touch of snark filling in for character development, and unrealistic, cartoony art.
Just right for Generation X.
Not so much for the rest of us.

The artwork in this run is atrocious, especially Warpath, just bad! Very reminiscent of Umbrella Academy artwork. The writing is tolerable, lots of words at times, but especially issue #5, the writing was just not great. I read this as a means to an end, as I work my way to HoX/PoX (and the fact that Cable/X-Force are my favorite X-people).
That said, reading a summary of what happens in this collection is sufficient, not worth reading otherwise, a very mediocre story and bad artwork.

4.0 out of 5 stars X-Force como nos (bons e) velhos tempos!

Ação e porrada como nos tempos iniciais da X-Force.
O misterioso vilão é um "clássico" inimigo do grupo e promete boas histórias para o grupo no futuro.

3.0 out of 5 stars The art has gone a bit odd!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 30, 2019
Another pick up for me after a few years off of the X-Men etc reads.

Wanted to read this one, as I loved X-Force back in the day and seeing that it had Cannonball, Boom Boom, Warpath and Shatterstar back, I couldn't wait. Sam Gutherie and James Proudstar are two of my favourite characters.

The story itself is good and enjoyable reintroduction to the team, the young Nate Summers is a bit annoying and Deathlok has changed personality a fair bit since I last read him.

However, I couldn;t get my head around the art, these characters don't look like I know them, now I know this is for a new generation of readers and art evolves, but I liked the way they looked and for me that is the way I see them.

Of course, I will still continue with the story as it's about great characters and my reading whether, graphic novels, historical fiction, sci-fi or fantasy(Yep I am that much of geek) is all about the characters.
