Kyle Higgins is a #1 New York Times Best Selling writer whose past work includes NIGHTWING, BATMAN ETERNAL, GATES OF GOTHAM, BATMAN BEYOND 2.0, and DEATHSTROKE. After spending two years at the University of Iowa, Kyle transferred to Chapman University where he co-wrote and directed a superhero noir titled THE LEAGUE, about the 1960's superhero labor union of Chicago. Am not a big comic expert. But, find Cap and Bucky and Nat's stories - and others, the more I read - pretty compelling. Am doing this from memory but overall, at first thought this seemed kinda hokey, like soft fan fiction. I like stuff with lots of grit like Brubaker's stuff. But while I think the art could be better - again, like older comics - the story picks up. Bam, in your face. So just got issues 3 and 4 of this series. IMO anything with Winter Soldier in it is a good thing - like the excellent Thunderbolts. Not so much the MCU's cheesey ripoff prelude comics connected to the movies.
