This is a refreshing take on Elektra. Matt will always be Matt, even in 1602, but Elektra is usually annoying, spoiled, and impetuous. This time around, she's driven, empowering, and diametrically opposed to the only man that she loves romantically. This is a compelling drama that is (refreshingly) free of superhuman mythology and is centered on the humanity of these characters.
