About the Author

First and foremost a comic creator, Kirkman has seen groundbreaking success in the adaptation of his comic book titles into major franchises in all forms of content. In 2010, his Eisner award winning series, The Walking Dead, was developed into an AMC television series. It has become a worldwide phenomenon as the highest-rated basic cable drama of all time. The property has also been extended into a blockbuster game franchise, licensing business and ongoing publishing success.

Additional Kirkman comics include Oblivion Song, Die!Die!Die!, Invincible, Outcast, Super Dinosaur, Battle Pope, Astounding Wolf-Man, and Thief of Thieves.

Kirkman also serves as consulting producer of The Talking Dead, the popular talk show hosted by Chris Hardwick that deep dives into each week’s episode of both The Walking Dead and its companion series Fear the Walking Dead. Kirkman is co-creator, writer and producer of The Walking Dead’s companion series, Fear the Walking Dead.

He is also executive producer of the AMC series Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics, and the Korean pre-apocalyptic drama, Five Year. Kirkman’s popular demonic-exorcism comic, Outcast, was adapted and produced for Cinemax. His second longest running coming book series Invincible is currently being adapted for a live action movie for Universal and an animated series for Amazon. Kirkman will serve as Executive Producer on both adaptations.

Robert is also the Chairman of Skybound Entertainment. Robert, an advocate for creator rights, co-founded Skybound alongside his longtime business and producing partner David Alpert in an effort to ensure creators are able to maintain their intellectual property rights and creative control.

Charlie Adlard is the Eisner award nominated artist and co-conspirator on
The Walking Dead. In his spare time he’s co-created books such as Rock Bottom, Codeflesh, White Death, and many more in his twenty plus year career to date. I got this for my husband's birthday. He hasn't read it yet (he's reading them all through from the beginning again), but he was very excited and happy with it!The only thing I wanted to mention is the one I received didn't have the same cover as the previous 3 compendiums we have, which is the picture of them with their reflection as zombies. Instead, it has the cover in the photo attached.
Thank you for your feedback

This was one of the best reads I've been through in a long time. A perfect finale to an amazing series. Never once did I grow bored reading these compendium. I cannot recommend these enough, make sure to save yourself money and get the used versions. I actually ended up getting the Barnes and Noble alternate cover variant.

I’m a huge fan of the Walking Dead world. I’m 57 and when I tell my friends, most of them think I’m nuts! But one of my friends suggested I read the books and I would tell every fan of the show to read them too. The graphics are amazing and I loved the story differences and when they lined up. I was sad but very gratified to reach the end. (Thank god there are more shows and stories ahead!) Robert Kirkman knows how to write rich characters that you can’t help but love and feel a connection to, and such wonderfully layered storylines.

Loved the finale to a Great series. Sad to say I never so much as collected the individual issues for this series. Though I did take an interest as far back as a few issues when the series first began all those years ago. It wasn't until I saw the 1st Compendium that I wanted to start collecting the series that way. Though I understand that I'm missing out in some interesting moments that are only found in some individual issues. Like the twist in Alexandria where Rick attempted to make a play at overtaking leadership through threat of violence. Michonne intervenes and puts a stop to Rick's actions. But what happened next was something you'll only see in THAT issue. A moment of color and an alternate universe moment is all I'll say happened. Of course, in the Compendium it continues onward undisturbed and kept the seriousness of the moment intact. Just an example of special stuff that the Compendiums sadly omit. But this particular Compendium is the End and I'm glad I got to see it. I liked the way it ends. Sparked some questions that get answered and opens a slew of others that probably won't ever get answered. But, it was a great journey.

I really didn't want this to end, but I understand that as graphic novelists, you have to eventually bring your story to an end. I truly loved reading this story, and trust me when I say I will read this again when I start to forget about it. It taught me a lot about trying to be a good person when so much bad is going on. This story deserves all the love and popularity it gets. It was well written. All thanks to Robert Kirkman. :)

Great end to an amazing series. Can't believe it is over. Epic and a masterpiece. I highly recommend everyone that loved the show to pick these comics up and read through.

I'm glad I finally have this comic book. I don't have to wait for more compendiums since this is the last one. I have the whole compendium set (1-3) already in my possession. It's quite heavy and fragile, so you must take good care of it. I haven't gotten enough to read it, but the comic book series is so good. I found out about The Walking Dead from the television series (I thought it was a horror movie back in 2010). Zombies were the scariest monsters at the time, but now, I've become so desensitized after watching the episodes that I've accepted the fact that humans are so much worst. The Telltale video game series is actually kinda fun, scary, but depressing if you're into interactive games where you control everything your character says and does.
