The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. 3: Century (League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century) Kindle & comiXology
The nineteenth century, expiring with a flourish of Moriarty and Martians, has left the division of Military Intelligence commanded by Mina Murray in a state of disrepair. While she and her lover Allan Quatermain have achieved a measure of eternal youth, recruiting new talents such as the trans-gendered immortal Orlando, the ghost-finder Thomas Carnacki and the gentleman thief A.J. Raffles to replace their deceased or missing colleagues, former associate Captain Nemo has retired to his Pacific pirate island to decline in surly isolation.
Now it is the early years of a new and unfamiliar century, and forces are emerging that appear to promise ruin for the Murray group, the nation and indeed the world, even were it to take a hundred years for this apocalyptic threat to come to its disastrous fruition.
From the occult parlours and crime-haunted wharfs of 1910, through the criminal, mystical and psychedelic underworlds of 1969 to the financially and culturally desolated streets of 2009, the disintegrating remnants of Miss Murray and her League must combat not only the hidden hand of their undying adversary, but also the ethical and psychological collapse accompanying this new era.
And a lot of things can happen in a CENTURY.

I liked - and was impressed - with the way in which Moore made literary references applicable to the time period: in 1910, the story line loosely followed Brecht's The Threepenny Opera (The Criterion Collection) (I particularly enjoyed the appearance of "Mack the Knife"), but a close read also shows brief "cameos" of Popeye and Andy Capp as well as oblique references to Arkham Asylum and Faust. The second chapter is set in 1969 and makes loose reference to the Rolling Stones (especially the song "Sympathy for the Devil"), although again, the pop-culture references are legion. (I was only able to identify cameos by Dr. Who, The Catcher in the Rye , and Monty Python. The plot by this time, however, begins to suffer, as the "League" really becomes only Mina Harker, Orlando and Quartermain, with the occasional appearance of Norton from Iain Sinclair's Slow Chocolate Autopsy : Incidents from the Notorious Career of Norton, Prisoner of London . At this point, the story is effectively jumping the shark. The third and final chapter, set in 2009 has fewer allusions to pop culture (as far as I could tell), but those that were included were a lot of fun (look for caricatures of the various actors playing James Bond, Torchwood: The Complete Original UK Series , and (believe it or not), J.K. Rowling. At this point, the shark has clearly been jumped. The final appearance of Mary Poppins was, I have to admit, funny, but there was no salvaging a story line (and concept) that has effectively been wrung dry.
I give it the relatively favorable rating I do because I DID enjoy the allusions and references, although there was a strong urge to seek out and verify the references that I was sure I was making (which would have been a distraction). For fans who have been with Moore and O'Neill through The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Vol. 1 , The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Vol. 2 and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The Black Dossier will certainly want to see the series through. For those with a more passing interest, I'd skip this one.

This one though is just your usual comic story with new and uninteresting characters. Yes, Moore's writing is still great but the story is bland and unoriginal.

Century se compone de los 3 libros por sepadaro. Century 1910, 1969 y 2009.
La version es altamente recomendable en pasta dura ya que el forro es de piel y tiene los logos de la liga al reverso solamente lo cual la hace una entrega bastante elegante.
