This 80 page "Giant" brings together two stories of the Flash and one of Kid Flash, as well Golden Age Flash Jay Garrick and others of past eras. Great mix. Also good to see Captain Boomerang join the Good Guys, even for a little while. Bringing characters out of their usual element is always a good way to explore other aspects of their natures.

If you are interested in stories from the Silver Age but can’t afford to buy the original comics, these Kindle editions provide an economical way to check out some of your favorite classic superheroes.
Issue 160 of The Flash is an “80 Page Giant Issue” that was originally published in April of 1966, and cost just 25 cents. It contains three adventures featuring Barry Allen as The Flash, “Amazing Race Against Time”, “Danger In the Air” which introduces the Trickster, and “Space Boomerang Trap” where The Scarlet Speedster teams with The Elongated Man.
“Duet Of Danger” features the Golden Age Flash taking on the Fiddler. Kid Flash is featured in “King of the Beatniks”, and “The Adventure of Antelope Boy” features Johnny Quick.
The Kindle version contains a total of 76 pages. The image quality of the newer stories featuring Barry Allen as The Flash are excellent, quite up to par with current digital standards. While certainly very readable, the coloring of the older comics is not as rich, the definition is not as clear, and the borders are not bold white. This is mostly due to the quality of the original material, and appears to be fairly typical for DC’s Kindle offerings from this time period.
If this issue is of interest, you may want to check out the Kindle versions of , , and . Unfortunately not that many of the 80 page and 100 page Giant issues are available on Kindle, particularly those featuring Superman and Batman. The titles which are available, such as those featuring Supergirl, The Justice League of America, and Wonder Woman, are well worth the modest cost, usually $1.99.

This is listed on my account as purchased June 30, 2017. I have an invoice on my Amazon account. When I wanted to look at it I find I am shown I have to purchase it. Amazon is making more mistakes now than in the past.
