4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 46 ratings

Angel Olivia appears out of nowhere in front of Dark Warrior Aeron. She claims that she went through numerous obstacles just to come to see Aeron. Aeron, who had no interest in women before, is shaken after spending time with Olivia, who conveys her love to him with her purest heart. Aeron can’t accept her love since he is a sinner, and he does not think he is a match for an angel. At the same time, demon Legion becomes very jealous to see Aeron being so stirred by Olivia and eventually makes a deal with Lucifer, the Prince of Darkness, in an attempt to possess Aeron for herself.

The artwork is beautiful. It's done by the same artist who did the The Darkest Night and the Darkest Prison but my biggest complaint is that it was only one volume so it was very, very rushed. All of the previous books were given two volumes so I don't know why this one only got one especially since so much happens in this volume to push the series along. Aeron was clearly blond instead of having a buzz cut as he's described and there were ABSOLUTELY NO TATTOOS!! One of the biggest physical features about Aeron is the fact that he's covered head to toe with tattoos. In fact, I think all of the volumes in this whole series have refused to put tattoos on him and have all given him hair. I had a hard time with that. I can't even say all of the other characters were drawn really well because this artist is probably the one who seemed to have the hardest time getting the physical descriptions to match the characters. Reyes is drawn as a blond; Sabin has dreadlocks; Lucien dresses like a vampire! In fact, several of the characters dress in outfits that would never be conducive to the type of fighting they do. There are no fatigues or jeans. They all look like they just stepped out of a Victorian romance novel or some weird S&M club. I really wonder who gave this artist the descriptions of the characters because even with different interpretations, there still should have been a similarity to the actual descriptions from the books. The artist's art is beautiful but her end results leave much to be desired for these characters.

Also, sadly, the story was very rushed, as mentioned before so Aeron's confession of love to Olivia seemed to come out of no where. We really aren't given much where they interact with each other on an emotional level to warrant his confession. And the whole Legion's jealousy and in turn her bargain with Lucifer to become human was hardly worth mentioning with as little importance it seemed to get. So, sadly, I would have to say that despite the beautiful artwork, this is probably one of my least favorites of the manga versions of the Lords of the Underworld series.

I just hope they continue to do the rest of the series as a manga.

For a quick read it was fun. The art is beautiful, but it is not the best I've seen. Story line felt rushed in the end. I guess this story was quite worth it if you don't mind spending the money.

Attinente al libro, centrato a peno la storia e i disegni mi piacciono tantissimo, alcune accenni di trama scostanti dall'originale ma comunque un bel lavoro.

Just bought this book as have been reading the series and have just bought a manga comic, absolutely disgraceful that Amazon will do this to regular and loyal customers. The only reason I have given this a star is I had to so I could post this.
