After hitting a home run in the last issue of B&B with Batman and Deadman, DC tries to make magic again by bringing in another new creation: the Creeper. Steve Ditko was responsible for many household names: Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, etc., but the Creeper, for whatever reason, does not measure up. Maybe he needed better supporting characters to play off of to be more interesting. Whatever the reasons, this is the weakest issue of the Bob Haney-Neal Adams run, but still worthy of four stars.

I've been a fan of the Creeper since I 1st saw him in the animated series and was always disappointed never seeing him again in either that show or never getting his own full team up episode in Brave and the Bold. The comics have been the only place to see these 2 vigilantes together and it is a wild & enjoyable ride.
