Mai Yasuda is a gifted student at Nakanoshima's elite Ichiwara High School. She is also an outcast, a biracial child born in the aftermath of World War II whose American soldier father disappeared before she was born. Desperate to escape her insecurities, Mai loses herself in a second life of adventure as TENGU KAMEN.
Mai reluctantly volunteers for Nakanoshima's upcoming Korean Festival, a source of pride for a South Korean community deprived of citizenship. However, Koreatown's leaders are stalked by a killer claiming to be avatar of the Japanese plague deity GOZU-TENNO. As the body count rises, Tengu Kamen must uncover the truth behind the supposed god incarnate's divine campaign of vengeance
