Otto is doing his best to be a hero but all his years of being a supervillain have left his moral compass a bit skewed. As the cliche goes, he doesn't have an angel on his shoulder to tell him right from wrong. Thankfully after proving himself in his recent battle with Terrax, Anna Maria Marconi has decided to fill in that role. Though she doesn't fully trust him, the clean up of San Francisco is too important. The backdrop of chaos gives writer Christos Gage a chance to show a more personal side to Octavius as he deals with the loss people feel from the attack. Mike Hawthorne's artwork is still good and a great addition to the series. I can't stress enough that this series' greatest strength is that it feels like a natural continuation of the last series. New readers won't be lost, but longtime fans are in for a treat. Otto's personal growth is I believe one of the strongest arcs in modern comics. There's a wit to the book that sets it apart. Our first major villain has now been defeated but with all the destruction he caused, a new villain is set to take the city in chaos. I can't wait for more.
