Super Sons of Tomorrow (Super Sons (2017-2018)) Kindle & comiXology
That’s exactly what Tim Drake says will happen. But this isn’t the Tim Drake of today — this is the Batman of Tomorrow, and he’s traveled through time to kill Superboy. He tells the Teen Titans that if he succeeds in killing Superboy, he will save the millions of people that Superboy will kill in the future.
The Teen Titans have split in half over how to handle Superboy and don’t know whether to trust him or Drake. So, Superboy’s closest friend, Damian Wayne—the current Robin and leader of the Teen Titans—has Jon on the run from Drake ... and from his own team.
Now, Earth’s most powerful teenagers are fighting against each other, with one angry Kryptonian father caught in the middle. If the Teen Titans aren’t careful, they just might cause the very catastrophe that Tim Drake traveled back in time to prevent!
Writers Peter J. Tomasi (Superman) and Patrick Gleason (Robin, Son of Batman) team with artist including Ed Benes (Justice League of America), Tyler Kirkham (Earth 2: World’s End) and Ryan Benjamin (The Odyssey of The Amazons) for an epic crossover between Super Sons, Superman and Teen Titans, featuring the return of some familiar faces to the DC Universe! Collects Super Sons #11-12, Superman #37-38, Teen Titans #15.

Comic Review: I know a lot of people have gripes with how the story was handled and while I gotta agree it’s rough in some parts— I was still really excited to see alt Future Tim Drake again it’s been since Detective comics #967 since we’ve last seen him so it’s just nice to see the dude again, angst and all! Obviously huge Tim Drake fan so my favoritism is showing here heh
For reasons that are never really made clear, Tim Drake from an alternate future timeline has come back to kill ten-year-old Jon Kent, aka Superboy because at some point he'll do something that will cause the death of millions. And apparently the only way to prevent this is for Drake to kill Jon. Which of course everyone else quite reasonably objects to. This results in a series of clashes with Batman, Superman, Damian Wayne/Robin, the Teen Titans, and the future Titans from Drake's timeline, which cause Drake to assume a new identity (and costume) calling himself Savior. The crisis is eventually resolved by characters behaving in ways that make little sense for no apparent reason. I like a lot of Tomasi's other work, but this particular storyline falls more than a little short of his usual standard.
About the only good thing are the little developments and exchanges between Damian and Jon that do add to the complex - and growing - relationship between them. Those parts were well done. The rest... not so much.
Contains Supersons #11-12, Superman #37-38, and Teen Titans #15.
Recommended to Supersons fans for the way it further develops the relationship between Damian Waye/Robin and Jon Kent/Superboy, but not much else. To be honest, you won't really be missing much if you just skip this storyline altogether.
It is an uplifting read.
