This issue focuses on the super pets of the DCU. It’s not a terribly compelling narrative, it’s more just a fun side adventure with the super pets. I hope there will be other issues like this that are just fun side stories with no commentary on society, politics, or whatever.
My only complaint is that the cover can be slightly misleading in making one think that Robin and Superboy would be in it more.
Also, I wouldn’t recommend paying $5 for this issue. Maybe wait until they sell the Super Sons volume
