Collects Amazing Spider-Man (1963) issues #677-687 and #679.1, Amazing Spider-Man: Ends of the Earth issue #1, Avenging Spider-Man issue #8, and Daredevil (2011) issue #8

Although Dan Slott is the primary writer of this collection, the first story in this book is written by Mark Waid instead of Dan Slott. It features a Spider-Man/Daredevil team-up because Waid was writing Daredevil at the time. Also integral to this two-part crossover is Black Cat.

Then there is a really fun time travel story, followed by a space adventure featuring a Spider-Man/Human Torch team-up.

Then, there is an issue featuring the return of Morbius the Living Vampire.

The collection ended with an epic, world-threatening story that acts as one of the final chapters setting up the "Superior Spider-Man" storyline. In this collection, Dr. Octopus has a plan to use his technology to save the world (or destroy the world, depending on who you ask), and Spider-Man is brought in to deal with the situation since he is an expert on Otto.

There are a lot of Marvel Universe characters within these pages, including the Sinister Six, the Avengers, Silver Sable, Kangaroo, Union Jack, and Big Hero 6. (I haven't seen the Big Hero 6 movie yet, and this is the first time I've read them in comics.)

Overall, this collection was a pleasure to read. Nice work, Dan Slott.

THE SLIGHTEST OF SPOILERS: I didn't mention this above, but Spider-Man uses a newly developed armor in this story, that he created at Horizon Labs specifically for fighting the Sinister Six.

Came in a timely manner from what I remember but it did have one edge bent. I will not give a smaller score for that small issue but I think it needed to be said.

Dan Slott's Big Time continues and really, reaches its crescendo even though this is the second-to-last collection. Doc Ock unleashes his plan to accelerate global warming and destroy the world. A lot of this is fun, with a neat Avengers/Sinister Six showdown and the Horizon Labs team working to help Spider-Man stop Octavius. But then there are also some unnecessary tie-in issues featuring D-list heroes as they fight the villain's robots all over the globe.

But if anything I find that the shorter stories in this collection stuck with me more. There's a fun two-parter where Peter and his work colleague have to prevent an apocalypse they accidentally caused with a time-travel gate invention. And then the collection ends on a storyline where Silver Sable, Dr. Strange, and Spidey have to protect a European princess from Dr. Doom. (That's where the cover art is from). Ultimately I'm still sort of whelmed by Slott's run, but this collection had its bright moments.

I really enjoyed Big Time until this point the Ends of the Earth story is good not as good as Spider-Island but still really good

This Big Time collection isn't as large as the first two, but the material is excellent! The Ends of the Earth story is one of my favorite Dan Slott Spider-Man stories I've read thus far. He elevates an already notoriously bad Spider-Man villain to new levels of evil.

Amazing Spider-Man 677-687, 679.1; Daredevil 8; Amazing Spider-Man: Ends of the Earth 1; Avenging Spider-Man 8 を収録。
