fun stuff

Story was interesting until the end, where it just sort of stopped. Then the filler at the end of the book really was wide open ms unnecessary.

Art's excellent. Story was alright. Things just seemed to move too quickly. Thinking back to past events this could've been something epic with so many villains. You'll want to pick it up though if you want Nick Spencer's complete run on Spider-Man.

Didn't need to be an event, should have just been included in the pages of amazing spiders with the rest of the story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool story with fantastic art

Great yarn, paying homage to classic works which preceded it. The restored dynamic of Peter and MJ works and the grand vision expanding to Dr. Strange and Mephisto is superb. Great book, great buy

1.0 out of 5 stars Big hot pile of 💩

What a mess! Lazy storytelling, mediocre art, confusing nonsensical battles with tens of characters, no character development whatsoever, an important character death that’s easy to miss (and forget), hints at things to come that never come… and all those characters devalued and wasted. Spencer’s Spider-Man is the worst Spider-Man of the last 30 years and this is his worst arc so far. The next creative team cannot come soon enough.

1.0 out of 5 stars Story and art both are so poorly done

The story is everywhere. I know it is supposed to be chaotic but at least give us a proper climatic battle! The ending is so underwhelming it feels like eating a whole cake but dropped the best part on the floor the last moment before it enters your mouth.
Mark’s art is hit and miss. Sometimes he drew MJ with a nose so deformed like a plastic surgery went horribly wrong. Spider-Man also looked so skinny/weak and is no longer the chad from the 80’s or the 90’s.
