Arrived in excellent condition, on time and it's a great read. The story is intriguing and the artwork is incredible. I recommend this collection as one of the best recent series I've read.

Roche Limit has a commendable plot and good enough art to stay on my bookshelf. While I found the writing, particularly the dialogue, a bit weak, almost unnatural at times, I really did like the premise and setting, the science fiction behind it all. The characters were not the most interesting, and I wasn't entirely thrilled or moved at any one point, I honestly didn't build any "relationships" with the characters, or didn't care too much for them, but the science fiction, the narrative and premise made up for any short coming in character. I thought the art was good in most places, but also too simple at times. All that criticism aside, I still enjoyed the book, and I will pick up the next volume.

Very interesting story, definitely a unique concept, with some characters that could really go a long way. The presentation, both in artwork and concept is wonderful, with scientific journal type sections and other things you wouldn't expect perhaps in a medium like this. I'm curious to see the next installment and if it follows with threads from this or if it will be a standalone entity. As it stands this book could probably be a standalone, and opened the possibility for a lot of different story arcs. Class society, murder, space exploration, and the borders and barriers of man and his intellect and ego. A little bit confusing at times, but worth more than one read. The next book definitely needs more clarity and a little more structure, but much like some first episodes of a successful TV show (The Americans comes to mind for me) there has to be some setup and establishment.

I got this for some good sci find graphic novel reading because everyone online raved about the story but the writing was jolty, cliche and bland and the art was mediocre so I don't really see the hype

One of the prettiest books you'll ever read. Some fun dialogue and well-developed characters. But the story just kinda petered out and took some turns seemingly out of nowhere. It felt like there was an issue or two that were missing.

Image sure does have a lot of these types of sci-fi books, but this one stands out. Roche Limit was built as a waypoint for further space exploration that never happened. It orbits a space anomaly that some people suggest is one end of a wormhole. A woman shows up on the colony looking for her sister who has gone missing. Things spiral out of control from there. Fans of shows like The Expanse will enjoy this.

Vic Malhotra provides solid art, reminiscent of Michael Lark or Charles Adlard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like with others before

I am a big fan of Image comics, and bought this one without reading the reviews. Like with others before, I was not disappointed. Great 'single shot' graphic novel volume, interesting plot - only downside is that it is too short, only one volume!
A continuation is mentioned on the end page, but it is meant to explore a different story.

The story in brief is about dreams, their extent and where they can lead the individuals, and how hard people can crash once the dream is confronted with reality. In this case a space mining colony is confronted with a mysterious anomaly in space, and as Earth slowly severs ties with it, the residents need to take care of their own problems facing many dangers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Roche Limit - The limits of humanity.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 29, 2015
The plot evolves around a new earth settlement called "Roche Limit" - and it delves into just that; the limit of humanity and it's aspiring visions and ideas. The settlement was built as a first step for man to expand throughout the universe, but admittedly, nothing goes as planned.

In Roche Limit, we follow the story of a woman trying to find her missing sister, all the while she runs into a charming man that seems to know everything there is to know about this place.

The comic makes clever use of what seems as flashbacks with slight thought provoking philosophic tones. The story and the characters are both positive forces with underlying solid writing and beautifully drawn.

If you're interested in a science fiction crime novel running at a good pace, this is a good choice.
