Editorial Reviews

Review

"This special anniversary reincarnation of Peter Parker: Spider-Man unites writer Roger Stern with artist Roberto De La Torre for a tale set firmly in present spider-continuity. As a stand-alone story and a celebration of 50 years of Spider-Man, it works brilliantly. The story deals with some important moments from Spider-Man's past while contextualizing them in the present and most crucially, it revisits a classic figure ... in a way that feels new and interesting." -- James Hunt

"Stern re-establishes the core of Spider-Man. The dialogue and pace are all perfect and, again, considered. Roberto de la Torre is the perfect match in terms of details. His pencils are not flamboyant ... they simply tell the story, allowing for emotional moments of quiet and space and the necessary action." --
Adam Rivett

"Roger Stern writing a
Spider-Man story ... that's all that matters." -- Tony Guerrero

"Roger had the Midas touch with just about everything he wrote for Marvel. Spider-Man, Avengers, Hulk, Doctor Strange, you name it." -- J.M. DeMatteis

From the Author

"Spider-Man is the perfect comic-book character.  He's both an all-out action hero and a wisenheimer, an angst-ridden dreamer and a fun-loving wild man.

"Really, it can be as much fun writing about Spider-Man, as it is reading about Spider-Man.

"And who knows?  Someday, maybe one of you will have that job.  I know, I know ... that seems impossible.

"But it happened to me."
-- Roger Stern
