Volume 2 picks up where volume 1 left off, with the four girls continuing to develop their friendships. We also see the teachers from the end of volume 1, as well as one new character. There's humor (the funniest involves a carrot-shaped body pillow) and character development as Mafuyu starts to (gasp!) somewhat like Nanaya.
Just like volume 1, the best part of volume 2 is the stunning artwork. As you read page after page and see the level of detail in both the characters and the environments, as well as the absolutely spot-on perspectives, it becomes more and more clear that you're looking at the work of a master artist. This is one of the best-drawn manga on the market, hands down.
Bottom line: if you liked volume 1, you'll like this book as well. Sweet, deliberately slow-paced, and beautifully drawn, it's a wonderful way to spend an hour of your time.
