Orlando

This comic was inspired by three epic poems written between the eleventh and sixteenth centuries; ‘The Song of Orlando’, ‘Orlando in Love’, and ‘The Fury of Orlando’. These early works formed the foundation on which European romantic literature was built, and continue to influence fantasy fiction to this day. Here we tell the tale of Orlando and his many adventures across Europe and beyond; his battles with the Saracens, his encounters with magical creatures and his many deeds of supreme heroism. We hear of his rivalry with other heroes, and of course, his love of a beautiful woman. This classic medieval tale is brought up to date in this series of adventures, but loses none of its epic nature. There’s death and rescue, love lost, and found again, there’s betrayal and loyalty, magic weapons and gifts from the gods themselves, and unbelievable deeds fit for larger than life heroes.
