Norah and her husband, Dr. James Seizhelm, were developing a drug for an intergalactic branch of the military. The drug mimicked a synthetic genome, actually altering the DNA of any subject injected with the serum. The intent was....the intent was not what happened. The result was James' death. Norah, on the other hand, took the drug without any immediate adverse side effects. Norah and her sister, Vera, would go on to save the world, but that's a different story.
This is after that time.
Today, she is making a living as a coma-fisher; one who pulls people from their comatose state. She helps families all over the country retrieve the souls of their loved ones. This particular evening, Norah finds herself at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She took the case of 5-year-old Anna, who suffered a seizure that caused her to bash her head against a tub. Her parents have hired Norah to come and fish her from the coma before she slips away into death.
