Kurt Amacker is a comic book writer from New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated from Loyola University in 2002. He began writing his first miniseries, Dead Souls, while recovering from an injury in the United States Marine Corps. After the first issue was published in 2008, he continued writing comics while DJing at several Goth nights in the French Quarter. He met Dani Filth in 2007, and the two became friends. His work has been publicly praised by Alan Moore, Hart Fisher, and Victor Gischler. He also co-produces the yearly Fangtasia vampire ball with Jyrki 69 of The 69 Eyes. He is currently working on his first novel. He continues to live in New Orleans with his wife, Sabrina, and their black cats, Vlad and Erzsebet.
