This is probably one of my favorite series. The anime is really good too.

So this is the 2nd volume of this series and it's getting even better. Theres two stories.Well in this volume Nanami is very bored and she doesn't really have an interest in going back to school, until she hears that Kurama, a pop star, is transfering into her class. She suddenly wants to go back to school and meet Kurama, but tomoe isnt very happy about her wanting to go back without soome kind of protection. He eventally gives in to Nanami, but there is one condition. And that is to wear a silly hat to protect the tochigami mark on her forehead so none can see it and attack her. But that is the complete opposite and it draws even more attention to Nanami, and people bug her about. It also makes Kurama to notice Nanami, but it is not very pleasent for Nanami to meet her idol. That is because he made her cry and he cause a lot of other promblems for Namami, which resault to Tomoe to even come to Namami's aid. We find out that Kurama is also a tengu. the second story is that a god takes Nanami's god mark, which makes Tomoe small and at the age of a 5 year old (which is cute to see). This makes Tomoe very sick and Nanami has to tske care of him.
I just love it. It sweet and heart warming, and I love the art and the story, very different and unique. This volume shows character development in Nanami and it shows that she isn't a helpless heriones. It also shows progression in Nanami and Tomoe relationship!
Pick it up it's amazing vol. and Series plus theres an anime that just came out to which is very good!

Nanami Momozono is alone and homeless after her dad skips town to evade his gambling debts and the debt collectors kick her out of her apartment. So when a man she's just saved from a dog offers her his home, she jumps at the opportunity. But it turns out that his place is a shrine, and Nanami has unwittingly taken over his job as a local deity!

Came on time despite me ordering the day before Christmas Eve. It also, came in good condition with no scratches or tears.

It’s a really cute story. I bought this as a gift for a friend who let me borrow and read it. I’m thinking about buying for myself as well. We both watched the anime and are now reading the manga.

My 12 year old daughter is a huge fan. Very age appropriate. Second book, Volume 2. This is really great, manga story about a young, homeless girl who's dad left his family to carry on his burdens of debt. She meets a man who offers her his home and now has responsibilities as a local deity. It's read - page right to left, in typical japanese fashion, and written in easy-to-read english language. It's a soft cover and really great quality.

Kurama appears, which means more somewhat comedic moments. Nanami has some character development that I like, and we start meeting other kami and youkai and see more of Tomoe’s power. An enjoyable read.
