I gave the first part five stars, and this is a great finale.

3.0 out of 5 stars By far Not as good as the first collected edition, but still readable.
Reviewed in Germany on April 28, 2021
I really loved the first collected edition, I was a bit disapointed by the second.

Despite having all the Ennis' trademarks (gritty but exhilarating violence, pitch-black humour, punk social commentary, and PTSDied veterans), the second and last part of Jimmy's Bastards falls a bit flat after its explosive beginning.

Without spoiling the end, I can at least say that it was expected, underwhelming and cheapened some central and interesting elements established in the first part that would have deserved better.

It's still a fairly good comic, but it's under par and a bit lazy for Ennis.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight Ennis Fun
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 23, 2019
Being a big fan of The Boys, I was always up to see what the creative team did next (that wasn’t a war comic).

There is nothing too complex to get your head round here... Ennis is having fun with James Bond and there is no subtlety to this whatsoever. It’s all up front, all of the page... and then it’s over.

Watchmen this is not but an easy read it is.

Typical Ennis. Reminds me more of Preacher than The Boys.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great art…wet fart

I'm a big ennis fan. This was his worst in my opinion. Usually brings out all the emotions at some point. This just felt doa. Everything but the art was poor
