James Burns is a television graphic designer and illustrator who lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

At age 45, he wrote and drew his first comic book, Detached, about his experiences with eye surgery. James' other comics include his graphic novel Daemon Process, the first two issues of the anthology The Burner, his anthology Real Magicalism, the parody Astral Crusader, Lance Star, as well as several collections of his "Grumbles" strips.. His work has also been included in the last several editions of Not My Small Diary. His weekly comic strip Grumbles ran for over 6 1/2 years in Atlanta's Sunday Paper.
