I liked the injustice books, but I was disappointed in year zero. The artwork is great and it’s interesting to get an explanation for why the Justice Society isn’t in the main series but other than that I’m not impressed.Year zero is lacking in character development and is brought down by the number of characters it’s trying to balance. The writing was also very stale and full of quippy-jokes that never really land.I do not recommend unless you’re really into the injustice series

Just recently got back into reading comics/graphic novels. The first book I got was this one at a Books a Million. Really a stickler for chronological order so pick this one up first and was not disappointed. Really set's things up well for the rest of the series. You really want to hate the Joker but he has a certain level of charm that has you rooting for him in a way. Highly recommended.
