About the Author

After making a splash with comics and illustrations uploaded to Pixiv and Twitter, Konishi's professional debut came with the serialization of the manga version of Haru's Curse in Monthly Comic Zero Sum. Asuka Konishi is a penname, and nothing is publicly known about the author, including his or her gender. Konishi represents a new generation of manga artists who have come to fame not through the usual channels but through the internet, much like musical artists made famous by Youtube or Soundcloud.

Haru's Curse is a story about having hope in the face of cruel fate, and finding a way to look forward to a better tomorrow no matter how abysmal life is today.

If you were born with a deep abiding sadness but have the courage to live life to the fullest, yet still feel the need to feed the depressed little psycho inside, this is the book for you.
It's got character development, struggles with powerful questions about life after the death of a beloved family member, intense pain so real it hurts to even read about, and a love story with a setting so sick and twisted it's reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet despite being entirely original.
I love it and am happy to see it officially translated into English.

Oh. My. God. SUCH A GOOD BOOK. I don’t know what I was initially expecting but this book was more than I was expecting. The characters were so well thought out and they’re stories made me sob so much couldn’t put the book down. Even made my boyfriend read it and he couldn’t put it down either (which is rare). We both loved this story and I’ll definitely be reading it again soon. I love the art too it’s so beautiful and the style flows very nice.

I would recommend this manga to anyone whose looking for a great romance and slice of life Josei to read.
I thought this was only volume 1 of “Haru’s Curse”, but it contains both volume 1 & 2 (Meaning the completed story).

I loved the themes the manga talk you about and how does, it's just fantastic. I loved the character's development as well, they are so human, su cute, so real!!!! Really like when the characters are adults!! Obviously I loved the art as well, simple (in a good way) and BEAUTIFUL, you can understand and feel perfectly what they are feeling and doing all the time.

I've read a lot of manga since I was a kid and cannot recommend this enough. Normally I need some time to write a review, you just need to "settle" what you read in your head but I am in love, this is one of the best manga I've read.

Please give it a shot. I am a cynical and I felt this manga.
