Halo 4 doesn't go in to much detail about the Didactic composing New Phoenix, but this comic does. This comic grounds those events in reality and gives Halo fans a glimpse into the emotional weight of the events we've played through so many times.
I highly recommend this series to all Halo fans.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Good series, can't wait for more
Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2014
I've been purchasing this series since the first issue came out, but of all 7 I've read (still waiting on #8 to arrive in the mail) I have to say this is the weakest of the series...story-wise.
Don't get me wrong, the art and coloring in escalation have been well done and I have no complaints there. The story, however, is rather bland and left me at the end saying "eh..". It was interesting seeing Spartan Thorne return to his home town after the Didact's attack and understanding his thoughts on it, but unlike the previous issues, this didn't have any "exciting" moments to it, like the previous issues had. I'm not saying that each one needs an action segment, but it could have contributed more to the whole plot of escalation better.
Overall, I would recommend it just for the sake of those who are reading each of the series that comes out, but be prepared for a boring read.
