Hi! I'm Pat Shand, the co-creator & writer of Family Pets, a graphic novel coming from Silver Dragon Books/Scholastic in August 2015! I also write some monthly comics (Robyn Hood, Charmed: Season 10, GFT: Arcane Acre, & Van Helsing) + neato pop culture journalism for Sad Girls Guide & Blastoff Comics. I'm big on cats, comics, and cats again.

The story is catchy, the new characters are interesting, but is missing the twist and every Zenescope title is very, very predictable , because of the repetitive fight good vs evil for the Earth.
This one has however little more twists than others. I see some Biblical reference and somehow the evil Being is not losing thee fight so i'm pretty sure a new series with the same characters, same topic, same fights will be released pretty soon.

The first issue is the origin of the Being. Why he is so powerful and the first inkling of what he actually wants. The next issue is the battle that was left off from the last book this is the most action packed issue of the graphic novel. An important character returned and revelation for future stories. Then the next stories are set a year after the heroes have "won", and are really dealing with the fall out and changes in the Grimm-verse due to having the monsters and being released. There is a lot of character development begging to be explored coming from this comic set.
Not as good as the first story arc. Definitely not and ending, unfortunately even the cover gallery did not have any really great pictures would cause me to add an extra star. This is an important filler story not an ending.
