Jody Houser decided she wanted to be a writer at eight years old and never looked back. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing at Emerson College, where she completed her master's thesis in screenwriting and was a winner of the Rod Parker Fellowship for Playwriting.

In 2006, Jody began experimenting with webcomics. Her first professional comics writing was published in 2012. She became a full-time freelance writer in 2016.

Now a New York Times bestselling and Eisner-nominated writer, Jody has penned stories for DC Comics (Mother Panic, Harley Quinn & Poison Ivy), Marvel Comics (Star Wars, Web of Black Widow), Dark Horse Comics (Stranger Things, Critical Role), Titan Comics (Doctor Who), IDW Publishing (Orphan Black, Star Trek), and Valiant Entertainment (Faith), among others.

This book to me, is perfect for a comic book. It covers what an every day human would probably be going through, (especially a plus size one), of trying to figure out, am I good enough, am I doing what I should be doing, etc, etc. I feel like Faith really hits that with her trying to find her spot in the world of both "normal" and superhero lives. I really do enjoy this series immensely and suggest it for both female and male readers. (Though I do think females will relate more to Faith because of her mannerisms, thoughts etc)

As always, Faith Vol.2 is a lighthearted, feel good story with a superhero everyone would love to have as a best friend. 2x the Faith equals 2x the fun, Archie and Faith's trip to comic con is full of double the villains for another crime fighting date night. The colors play off the art for fun aesthetics. Faith is a fun, sure to leave you smiling good read.

Faith's ongoing series! Back by popular demand, this is Volume 2, but it's issues #1-#4 of the ongoing series for Faith (Volume 1 was #1-#4 of the earlier mini-series). Confused yet? No? Keep reading. This time, Faith, err, umm, Summer (secret identity), is excited to meet the actor who plays a superhero while she's a superhero who plays a mild-mannered reporter writing articles about actors who play superheroes. But, he's no hero! What?!? By the time you're done with Volume 2 you'll be seeing double... or quadruple. I can't keep up. Just read it again... it's more fun the second time.

This comic book series never fails to capture the imagination and cause a smile.
She is a wonderful role model. And instead of being all small and stick like she actually has believable body proportion’s. Her sense of humor is wonderful and entirely positive.
