In New York, a young musician, Soledad, has just released a new gramophone album, which a small Presbyterian group, led by the very media-friendly reverend Fox, has taken vehement exception to. They don't put up with the singer's push for Women's rights over abortion. Assaulted during a show, she takes refuge at her agent's home, that of Fourmille Gratule.
The latter will accompany Soledad and her group in an animated tour, which will take them south to New Orleans and the truth...
