Nick Dragotta is the artist and co-creator, along with writer Jonathan Hickman, of the breakout hit series East of West. Dragotta and Hickman made name for their creative team previously on Fantastic Four at Marvel Comics, where Dragotta also worked on the landmark run of X-Statix with Peter Milligan and many other of the top Marvel characters such as Captain America, Spider-Man, the X-Men and others.

Jonathan Hickman (born September 3, 1972, South Carolina) is an American comic book writer and artist. He is known for creating the Image Comics series The Nightly News, The Manhattan Projects and East of West, as well as working on Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four, FF and S.H.I.E.L.D. titles. In 2012, Hickman ended his run on the Fantastic Four titles to write Avengers and New Avengers, as part the "Marvel NOW!" relaunch. In 2013, Hickman wrote a six-part miniseries, Infinity, plus Avengers tie-ins for Marvel Comics. As of 2015, he is writing the crossover event Secret Wars.

So yeah, first read of the day, and it's the newest and ninth volume of my favorite comic East Of West written by Jonathan Hickman, with clean as heck beautiful detailed art by Nick Dragotta, published by Image comics, and oh my gosh, there is a good reason I love this comic so much, it always delivers! Ok, so the apocalypse is in full swing, the end times are coming fast, and we get a great sequence of the horsemen mocking doomsday cults over the dead bodies of one, Wolf and Crow are trying to keep everyone from speeding up the end that is coming but no one is listening, it's like they know there's nothing wrong with going nowhere, but they should be going nowhere fast! The army of Mao is marching on the Confederacy as Death and War set a time and place for their one last epic battle, I'm so bummed out this book is ending soon, but at the same time I can't wait to see how wonderful the end of the world is in this book! If you're not reading this comic you have no idea what you're missing!
