Emmy Award Winner, Dawud Anyabwile is the creator and illustrator of the Brotherman Comics series which was conceptualized in 1989 and introduced at the NYC Black Expo in May 1990. He and his brothers teamed up to produce the Brotherman comics series which is recognized as the spark for the current, modern day Black Comics/Superhero movement.

Dawud's credits also extend into the realm of broadcast media where he created production art for studios around the country such as Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Turner Studios, Turner Sports, etc. He served as character designer for the hit show The Wild Thornberry's and The Rugrats.

He recently illustrated the graphic novel adaptation of the award winning novel, MONSTER by Walter Dean Myers which is published by Harper Collins Publishers.
