Volume three was great, lots of action and drama with more than a few surprises and shocking revelations. Looking forward to volume four.

I began reading Dance in the Vampire Bund years ago. I enjoyed how Japanese authors tinkered with the vampire myth. The original story arc was engaging, as were the characters. The next two series used the original cast as a backdrop while introducing new characters. Now, with some of the principals reaching adulthood (or a reasonable paranormal facsimile), younger cast members lead the way. The first issues connect the one character's back story with the previous storyline. Although each collection can be read as a stand alone, you really need to read the previous collections to know who's who. Princess Mina Tepes has returned to try to rebuild the Bund, but once again someone, or someones, are trying to destroy the Bund and all vampires. The defenders are training their young for the task ahead. The 3rd episode ends with these trainees naked in a snow storm in Siberia. The stories range far afield even though the Bund is located in Japan. It will be several months until Vol. 4 is due to hit the shelves.

What to comment on...a tons of shotas... seriously. Sigh, the valley of the goddess has not shown it light upon the world yet in this volume.

The two kids Yuuhi and Bea finally reach Tokyo along with Yuuhi dad's group. Afterward, the tension finally build up with enemies already waiting, what a tension that was. The hero group finally start initializing their plan to go against Katie, Clan Li and the Chinese government. Besides, the progressions of the story is going really well, the kids group is mainly the focus for this volume.

The author finally introduced the other two kids from the last series. Both pretty much similar age to Yuuhi and Bea. Both personality are in tandem with Yuuhi and Bea. The author even included a situation to bring the group even closer. Also, there are two twist in this volume that would bring the series into it gooden age.
