So far this looks like a cool idea for an alternative universe superhero story. I've heard that it's a good series set during WWII with female superheroes. Sounds cool to me.

Batwoman is the sole heroine in this first digital issue of Bombshells. Set in the forties and Kate Kane is the Bat-woman, baseball player by day, costumed vigilante by night. Her relationship with detective Maggie Sawyer remains intact here and in an ironic twist saves the lives of the Wayne family in crime alley. The art is well done in a forties format and the story is done well. Bombshell versions of both Supergirl and Wonder Woman are forthcoming. DC also plans print and collected editions. Well done.

Anyone who lived during the time period or that can recall past lives will find this comic highly reminiscent of the general collective subconscious in the era. Societal convictions and controversial lifestyles are seamlessly interwoven and thoughtfully representative of an emotional era very successfully depicted in this educational yet highly entertaining masterpiece!

What if many of the superheroes of today where around in 1930's or 1940's . How would turn out for them . And the world.

I've been incredibly excited for this series since it was announced, and this issue did not disappoint! This one focused on Batwoman (who I'll admit that I had no background on) and sets the stage for the rest of our favorite Bombshells! Can't wait for more!

I was happily surprised when it was shown she is dating the police women. I love the style of the comic and how it's colored and the plot's awesome so far. :D

I enjoyed this first issue starting the story. I look forward to reading the following stories. I like seeing the ladies front and center.
