Surprise surprise Lobo has a daughter name Crush. We met her and see she is kinda like him. She's very tough and a smart mouth. Doing her job has her fighting many things in New York. Like her dad she handles them easily. It however makes her late to her girlfriends b-day party. A very normal classy family that causes Cush to be uneasy and feel odd. Then she gets a text from Lobo who she hasn't heard from in years and years. He's in prison becoming a better man and wants her to visit him to see. With her days going pretty bad she figures why not?

Crush is an awesome superhero, a cool punk girl, and a hilarious meta narrator. She's also a total mess as a person and that makes her so much more relatable than most superheroes. She's super strong but vulnerable, a fierce fighter with psychological issues, a loving girl who has to figure out how to be in a relationship.
The art: use of perspective, colors, inking, panel layout, setting ambiance, and character design in this series are wonderful.
The writing and lettering make a great story without getting in the way of the graphics. The narration and dialogue are meant for this age. This is what young people sound like now.
So glad we picked this up. You bet we're reading the rest of this series!
