So here is where the story stands. Brainiac has created trapped slices of the DCU and is now using a being named Telos to have them all battle. It's a survival of the fittest battle with the winner getting the planet he has created. Meanwhile, a wizard named Deimos is working with the heroes of Earth 2 to track down Telos. Deimos was a villain in the Warlord series and DUH he's still a villain. He's trapped the various time travelling characters from the DCU and is using their powers to enhance his own. In this issue Deimos reveals his villainy and Telos moves to the side of the heroes.
The biggest problem with Convergence is there is very little to latch on to. I don't really know what Deimos plan is or Telos plan or what the point is in having the various realities battle. It's just really hard to care about any of this.Like the rest of the series the best I can say is it's alright. It's not terrible and it's not terribly memorable. The writing and art are uneven. Among the many DC crossovers this will probably fall somewhere around the level of Armageddon 2001 in terms of how well it's regarded.
