Classics Illustrated Junior #536: The Chimney Sweep

This literary fairy follows the romance between a china shepherdess and a china chimney sweep. Two china figurines stand side-by-side on a tabletop. They are in love. Their romance is threatened, however, by the carved mahogany figure of a satyr called "Major-General-Field-Sergeant-Commander-Billy-Goat's-Legs." Everyone calls him Goatslegs for short. Goatslegs lives on a nearby cabinet and he wants the shepherdess for his wife. Beautifully illustrated, this classic tale will capture children's interest and spark their imagination inspiring a lifelong love of literature and reading.
