Cinderella: From Fabletown With Love Kindle & comiXology

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 82 ratings

When supernatural artifacts from the Homelands begin surfacing in the modern world, it falls to Cinderella, Fabletown's best kept (and best dressed) secret agent to stop the illegal trafficking. But can Cindy foil the dark plot before Fabletown and its hidden, exiled inhabitants are exposed once and for all? And how does her long lost Fairy Godmother factor into the equation?

Whether she's soaring through clouds, deep-sea diving, or cracking jaws, Cindy travels from Manhattan to Dubai and hooks up with a handsome, familiar accomplice who may be harboring secret motives of his own. Meanwhile, trouble brews back home in Fabletown when Cindy's overworked, underappreciated assistant decides to seize control of The Glass Slipper, Cindy's exclusive shoe boutique. Collects issues #1-6.

Disclaimer: I'm a sucker for all things Fables. There's something about classic fairy tales and stories with a twist that really excites my imagination. This spinoff to Fables is no exception.

The ever popular Cinderella as an international spy for Fabletown is such a great idea. The partnership with Aladdin as well as the ultimate confrontation at the end ties in all these disparate tales together in such a wonderful, fun way.

Such a fun read!

so fun to be back in this universe. Cinderella: super spy. What is not to love. Reads like a summer blockbuster and gives people who loves the Cables universe a lot of fun context to work with in terms of backstory and how everything could be connected over centuries if you look hard enough.

So you thought it was "Happily ever after". Find out how it really went. A great read. A great tale.

This was a super fun read. I love to see a female character kick ass. Cinderella definitely did that. What a fun twist on the old fairy tale. It was fun to see some old favorites pop up through out the book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another great Fables spin-off
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 14, 2010
At this point it seems safe to say that the Fables concept hasn't dropped the ball yet, which is surprising considering the growing number of spin-offs. I guess it's testament to the world Willingham has created that there's so much scope for exploration of the characters. This is Fables with a strong Bond-style spy angle and Roberson and McManus do an excellent job of emulating the style of the main Fables title. We also get to see the Fables take on Alladin, who is a welcome addition to the cast and we get to see bond-style magic gadgets at play. The series also gives us more on the background of Cinderella and she is quickly becoming one of the strongest cast members. The trade also collects all of the gorgeous painted covers from the single issues by Chrissie Zullo.
I'm glad to hear there will be a second mini-series and will now give any Fables related product a try.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cinderalla is the Fabletown James Bond
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 10, 2012
Cinderella from the fairy tale and the Fables comic series is a secret agent for Fabletown. Magic items are sold to mundies and that might betray the existence of Fabletown. The top secret agent Cinderella goes there. As the title shows it is a James bond story. There is a Q (the witch from Hans and Gretel), a Bond girl (Cinderella boy?), capture and daring escapes. It is a very funny story.

It is a stand alone story, but to appreciate it, you need to have read the first few Fables books.
