If you love Saga (who doesn't??) then this comic is for you! Chimera has all sorts of awesome sci-fi elements, but with definite touches of fantasy (which I am 100% for). For a first issue this is really packed (in the best way...it's one of the best issue #1's I've read picked up this year, and I read waaaaay too many comics). It has plenty of intriguing plot lines already, and we're given just enough information so that we don't feel lost but definitely need/want to keep reading. The characters, Charlie especially, really breathe, and I'm excited to get to know them better.

And then there's the art. This comic is just beautiful. The colorful backgrounds and the use of lighting by the artist is especially impressive. I just want to take every single page of this and frame it for my wall.

Seriously, read this comic. I had a blast reading it and I can't wait for issue 2!

Chimera was a fantastic read! Even though this was just the first book I already felt a connection to the characters and the story sucked me in right away. Not quite sure what to compare this to, it's definitely an original project, but if you're a fan of any form of fantasy I definitely think this will be enjoyed. Super excited for the next edition!!
