Bebopman is a 80 page graphic novel about the life of jazz musician Tony LaVorgna. It is co-written by Tony LaVorgna, American Splendor's Harvey Pekar and Lois Gilbert, and illustrated by DC Comic's Gary Dumm with color by Laura Dumm. Bebopman describes the struggles of a dedicated bebop saxophonist as he tries to market his art to an uncompromising and largely unappreciative music business. Many of the stories are told in a humorous manner but some are a serious portrayal of mistakes made and deep regrets that linger.
