A one-time cartoonist, Ed Brubaker has been working as a writer since the early 1990s, and in that time his work has won several awards, including both the Harvey and Eisner Awards for Best Writer in 2007, and has been translated around the world. His comics credits include BATMAN, CATWOMAN, GOTHAM CENTRAL and SLEEPER for DC Comics and Daredevil, Captain America and Criminal for Marvel. He lives and works in Seattle, Washington, with his wife, Melanie, and many pets.

Everything in this volume (and more) is in the Bruce Wayne: Murderer? and Bruce Wayne: Fugitive books that are still in print. This only collects the parts of that story that are in Batman, while it ran through every Bat-Title at the time. Because of this, every chapter of the book starts with a previously on segment, and it's a jarring read. Do yourself a favor and just spend the extra money to get Bruce Wayne: Murderer? and Bruce Wayne: Fugitive instead.

Every issue except #598 is Collected in the Bruce Wayne Murderer and Fugitive trades that just came out a couple years ago. Issue #598 should have been in Volume 1 and Volume 2 should have never existed. It does not read good as well since all the issues are just segments of a larger story so their are massive gaps of story between issues.

You probably already own the recent reprints of Bruce Wayne: Murderer and Fugitive. If not, get them! Then find a $3 copy of Batman #598 at your local comic shop. Then, there will be absolutely no reason to buy this trade!!! Yes, they have "great art and stories," but only when read in their full context. The 5 star review for this trade is bogus.

Just get the new printings of Bruce Wayne: Murder and Bruce Wayne: Fugitive

I do not own this book, but I have read every issue in this book except for the first one. They are all part of the Bruce Wayne: Murderer and Bruce Wayne Fugitive crossover events. This was a fairly large event spanning several of the Bat-titles. It is a very enjoyable event, but with this collection you are only getting a fraction of the whole story and it'll be very hard to follow because of how much you'll be missing. Do yourself a favor and just spend some more to get the complete story. The new editions of Bruce Wayne: Murderer and Bruce Wayne: Fugitive contain the complete story as it was meant to be read.
