Batman Beyond (2012-2013): 10,000 Clowns Kindle & comiXology
Now, a new threat is rising. The Jokerz, a gang of petty criminals inspired by Batman’s greatest foe, are flooding into Gotham. Organized and more deadly than ever before, they are united by a single murderous cause under a charismatic leader with a terrifying new take on what it means to be a Joker. Unfortunately, insane clown gangs aren’t the only problem Terry has to deal with. With the city in chaos, Batman finds himself pulled in different directions—his best friend, Maxine Gibson, is missing in action and his ex-girlfriend Dana suddenly turns to him for help with her own crisis, all while Bruce Wayne needs him more than ever. His resources spread thin, Batman will have to turn to some familiar—and unwelcoming—faces for help.
Acclaimed creators Adam Beechen (ROBIN) and Norm Breyfogle (BATMAN: BIRTH OF THE DEMON) bring the world of the hit television series BATMAN to comics with an all-new epic adventure that will change Terry McGinnis’ life as Batman forever!
Collects BATMAN BEYOND UNLIMITED #1-13.

I absolutely love the Batman Beyond universe. The first season of the tv show was amazing. I loved seeing old Bruce and what became of him and some of his enemies. Seasons two and three started to get too kid friendly but it was still a great series. Hush Beyond was very good but Industrial Revolution was lacking. I was kind of skeptical going in to 10,000 Clowns. After Industral Revolution I was seriously questioning the direction of this series. Boy am I glad I kept going.
Throughout the animated series I always thought the Jokers gang was pretty silly. They looked lame and I just couldn't take them as serious threats. This graphic novel changes all that. After being united under a new villain who anoints himself as the Joker King they unleash chaos on Gotham in a way that Joker never could do by himself. Although the Joker King is obviously not as good as the original he is wicked and carries on the legacy in a respectable way. Anarchy and nihilism reign supreme and it tests Batman and his allies like they have never been tested before. 10,000 Clowns is a masterpiece.
The opening story with Mad Stan is kind of weak but needed for the set up. However, the middle story about a character known as Jake is awesome and has a great twist.
Overall I would highly recommend this to any Batman fan. If you like Batman Beyond DON'T MISS THIS! Terry has found his nemesis.
All in all it is a very good story telling, and hoping to collect all the books in the series to see how this pan out.

The story that Beechen has crafted is (for a fan of the animated series) simply masterfully done, how he manages to stay faithful to the characters of the series is very rewarding to see and read as they go through the chaos the story presents to them
The artwork done by Norm Breyfogle (who has done art for Batman in the past) certainly knows how to incorporate the style of the animated series (something sorely missed in the Hush Beyond and Industrial Revolution paperbacks) with his own and the result is a very welcome sense of nostalgia
In short, if you are (like me) a fan of Batman Beyond then quite simply this is a must-have
