The explosive conclusion to the B.P.R.D. series is collected in full! Lovecraftian monsters ravage an apocalyptic earth as the B.P.R.D. fights to save what little of humanity they can. But even Hellboy is not who he once was, and whether anyone survives Varvara and the long-awaited Ragna Rok remains to be seen.

Hellboy, Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman, and other familiar faces from the B.P.R.D. gather one last time to make a final stand for humanity.

Written by Mike Mignola and Scott Allie and brilliantly rendered by artists Laurence Campbell, Christopher Mitten, and Mignola himself, this book collects the end of the B.P.R.D. as we know it. Includes

About the Author

Mike Mignola's fascination with ghosts and monsters began at an early age; reading Dracula at age twelve introduced him to Victorian literature and folklore, from which he has never recovered. Starting in 1982 as a bad inker for Marvel Comics, he swiftly evolved into a not-so-bad artist. By the late 1980s, he had begun to develop his own unique graphic style, with mainstream projects like Cosmic Odyssey and Batman: Gotham by Gaslight. In 1994, he published the first Hellboy series through Dark Horse. There are thirteen Hellboy graphic novels (with more on the way), several spin-off titles (B.P.R.D., Lobster Johnson, Abe Sapien, and Sir Edward Grey: Witchfinder), prose books, animated films, and two live-action films starring Ron Perlman. Along the way he worked on Francis Ford Coppola's film Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), was a production designer for Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), and was the visual consultant to director Guillermo del Toro on Blade II (2002), Hellboy (2004), and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). Mike's books have earned numerous awards and are published in a great many countries. Mike lives in Southern California with his wife, daughter, and cat.

Mike Mignola is best known as the multiple award-winning creator, writer, and artist of "B.P.R.D." and "Hellboy", but has fostered several other projects like "The Amazing Screw-On Head" and "Baltimore" with Christopher Golden. Although he began working as a professional cartoonist in the early 1980s, drawing 'a little bit of everything for just about everybody' - including characters like Batman and Wolverine - he was also a production designer on the Disney film "Atlantis: The Lost Empire". Mignola also acted as a visual consultant to Guillermo del Toro on "Blade 2" and the film versions of Hellboy, which were broadly adapted by del Toro from the original comic series. Mike Mignola currently lives in southern California with his wife, daughter, and cat.

... in the 25 years of Hellboy and BPRD storytelling that culminates in this final chapter.

My love for the subject material is the only thing keeping me from giving this one star instead of three. I followed Hellboy for many years and I feel the character deserved better treatment than this. It's bad enough when they make movies that barely resemble the character but when the characters ceator himself takes it in such a dull and tedious direction well I don't know what to think. It's all very original and interesting to a point but ultimately it was depressing and could have used something a little less dour and pretentious. Ultimately I can't recommend this and for the most part I wish I hadn't read it. As the saying goes ignorance is bliss and I think I would have preferred going forward in blissful ignorance of this horrible ending of a character I enjoyed so much.

If you just want more stories in the hellboy universe, which is what i was dying for when i bought this, look elseware. the seller was fine and it got here fast, but the story itself is usless, it brings back characters from the original storyline that should not have returned and honestly just kind of sucks. which was a surprise to me.. but yeah, dont waste your time

I'm still a little choked up here having just finished the book. It's a bittersweet goodbye, I'm sad it's all over, but I'm also overjoyed that it ended so well. Mysteries cleared up. Characters said farewell too. Everyone dies, but the world is renewed in the blood of Hellboy. I've been reading Hellboy since it's first inception, since it was an amusing little mini-comic handed out at convention, since then it has become a staple of my reading diet and I still cannot believe it's all over. Yet, I'm glad it happened. Rest in Peace, Hellboy.

A me è piaciuto davvero molto. Un finale davvero molto bello e dignitoso per la saga.

Gave up after chapter 4: Boring art, boring story. Has nothing to do with the things I like about Hellboy.
