As the deadly Violet Decay spreads across Asylaith, Alchemists scramble to discover a cure. Enter Alexander Sirota, a young healer who is largely considered amateurish, stumbles across a cure while treating a very special patient. Alvar, a sweet young child, suffering from the Violet Decay, crossed over into the realm of the dead. There he met Azrael, Lord of Death. Alvar is told by Azrael that he will return to the living world as a "Living Lich".
