Hajime Isayama (諫山創 Isayama Hajime, born August 29, 1986) is a Japanese manga artist. His first and currently ongoing series, Attack on Titan, is experiencing success with 52.5 million copies in circulation as of July 2015. He has mentioned Tsutomu Nihei, Ryōji Minagawa, Kentaro Miura, Hideki Arai, and Tōru Mitsumine as artists he respects, and stated that the manga that had the biggest influence on him was ARMS.

This volume was kind of depressing in a way. There was a lot of deaths in this volume and I was getting really pissed off reading it to be honest. I am like what the heck is going on here, but it finally makes sense on what is going on after you read the whole volume. I was pleased with this volume after reading the whole thing, so don't be turned away and depressed til you finished this volume but it's still sad. On a side note one of my friends said this is basically a giant zombie manga, and I never noticed it til she mentioned it to me.

Story: The story is very fast paced this time around. There is a lot of running around and chasing this time. You get a lot of screen time with Armin at first, and I got to admit this guy is smart. Armin comes to some shocking conclusions and he seems to always be testing things out and planning many steps ahead. Eren has to learn the hard way when it comes to trusting comrades and the rewards that come with it. You get a little more detail on Eren's little bodyguard squad, and how strong they really are. 4/4

Character development: You get some character development on Eren point of view on how he learns to trust people more. You get some more insight on this female titan, but other than that this volume is all action. 3/3

Artwork: I am becoming a bigger fan of Hajime Isayama artwork every time I read a new volume. The artwork is fantastic. 3/3.

Overall, this volume is a step in another good direction. I feel like were in for some more action next volume and possibly finding out who this female titan is. I am just excited to read the next volume :).

I was watching the anime and decided to splurge and buy a volume. The manga moves so much faster, I swear it took like 2-3 episodes to cover the same amount of time in this volume hahaha! But whatever, great artwork, very gritty. To me, the anime and the manga complement each other but honestly I'm going to wait for the anime to pick up again before continuing with the manga. Personal choice.

Read/watch Attack on Titan trust me, it's great!

Satisfying story wise and the cliffhanger as always is well accepted in my book. I just felt this volume was over a bit too quickly. It was very fast paced and that kind of threw me off because previous volumes had a very steady pace to them.
