I really enjoyed this and hope to read them all. I sympathize with Arte as I’m a woman scientist in industry.

Truly a protagonist you can empathize with. Even if you're not a painter you can find parallels in any line of work. Truly if you value hard work then you will enjoy this work. And the art is supremely well done.

This series isn't flashy, grand, outlandish, or overwhelming. It's a beautiful piece of art with a wonderful story that you'll never likely forget. Definitely worth the look.

First, the download included the entire book, not just one chapter as another buyer experienced.
It's enjoyable when a manga's setting is unique, in this case, Italy. Back then, most people had little say as to what their role, job, station in life would be and for women even less so. Arte is from the upper class of society and yet is willing to give that all up to become an apprentice so she can become a professional painter. The drawings in Arte are first rate especially the views of Italy. For the price, this manga is worth reading.

The landscape of this manga is incredible! And I love how they’re playing with the historical figures from the renaissance in the story: Leonardo daVinci & Veronica Franco. I’m sure others will pop up.

I adore this series!! Arte is a lot of fun to read, the protagonist is very upbeat and she keeps moving forward no matter the challenges that face her. I like it when the author inserts tidbits about creating art during the Italian Renaissance. The artwork is also really beautiful. My only problem right now is that this is only available in digital format. I prefer to have physical copies of my manga, so if there's any way I can get a physical copy of this in English I'd love to know!

Edit: Didn't realize this was only chapter one of the manga. The price is way too high for only one chapter.

Edit part 2: It appears there was an upload mistake, with just one chapter being made available, and now the entire volume is available digitally. This fixes the original issue and I can happily say I now highly recommend purchasing this!

I love period peiece manga. So much more interesting than main stream manga.
Arte comes off a little too modern at times, but it's not enough to take from the story. I hope vol 2 is good.

It's listed as Volume 1 but it's really just chapter 1. If you're all right with paying $7 for a mere 56 pages, then more power to ya. It's the start of a great story, but its barely the start and I felt ripped off when I realized what I'd bought.
