Dan Slott is an Eisner winning and NYT Best Selling comic book writer. He's best known for his 10 year run on Amazing Spider-Man, including the Superior Spider-Man saga and the original Spider-Verse comics. Slott is the current writer on Marvel Comics' monthly Superior Spider-Man and Spider-Boy books and Titan Comics' annual Doctor Who specials. He has also written an Eisner nominated run of Silver Surfer, as well as runs of Fantastic Four, Tony Stark: Iron Man, Mighty Avengers, Avengers: The Initiative, The Thing, Batman Adventures, Ren & Stimpy, and the critically acclaimed Batman mini-series, Arkham Asylum: Living Hell. His run on She-Hulk helped serve as the inspiration for the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series on Disney+.

Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, also by Dan Slott, already showed an alternate universe version of Peter defeating Regent after he abducted all the other heroes. It feels like a really odd choice to now have the 616 Peter go through a very similar storyline, just with lower stakes. When Regent captured people in the other universe, it killed them, but that’s conveniently not the case here. It also feels odd that he’s powerful enough to trap heroes like Thor. The collection is a bit short, rounded out with an old annual that shows a time Mary Jane got to be Spider-Man, as she does briefly here. Overall, Worldwide continues to be a big miss for me.

Dan Slott is continuing to showcase a different Peter Parker. A man focused on the greater good and with millions and millions at his disposal. In "Worldwide Vol. 3", we get to see his interactions with some other big name corporate big wigs like Tony Stark and Liz Allen.

Unfortunately things get ruined per usual. Pulling in the All New, All Different Avengers, Iron Man, MJ and others, we see Pete take on a "villain" so focused on righting the wrongs of a world run by super heroes.

Sadly, we have seen this story play out before countless times. The fight scenes were a tad boring and I wish we got to see more of the Tony Stark/Peter Parker/MJ tension. Those scenes were clearly the best. Regent seemed like a Kirby-esque looking villain and not that interesting.
