This was a wonderful bridge between two worlds! I love how it was a great Captain America story, without being too preachy with wokeness! Well written and high octane…What any Captain America fan digs!

I really thought this was a pretty good Introduction to Sam Wilson... I haven't had much exposure to Falcon but here he shines with Stuart Immonen's great art and with Rick Remender spinin one hell of a yarn... this continues Remender's Captain America that started in Castaway in Dimension Z... But now with Steve Rogers de-powered... The Falcon takes the mantle as The New Captain... likes: The art is really great... also hero with a new sidekick dynamic... Nomad shows good potential as "The New Bucky".... dislikes: I hated the costume of the Vampire on Hydra's team of Flunnkies

Great storytelling. Awesome read. Sam Wilson is tough but with no healing factor or super soldier serum, how does he take a licking and keep on ticking? I love his "on the wall" raison d'etre. I believe it can keep him going...only for so long. I LOVE the diner conversation with the father yelling about how Wilson was passed the torch because he was Black and available. It hurts but just do what you do, Sam. Just do what you do!

The author Remender is excellent. His comics, writing, and the illustrations and storylines are top-notch. Whole household enjoys and I like the fact that both my sons (separated by multiple years) are still able to read the stories and enjoy. In fact, my youngest sons reading is improving by reading Michael Bendis comics like the Miles Morales Ultimate Spider Man series.

This was really hard to get through and it took a while to read even though it isn’t a long story and oh boy they gave Steve a “son?”
I’m missing a lot of context

This is old school comics at their best. Tons of action with a great story, great art, and great characters. I really liked this new direction for Captain America.

I was almost put off from buying this issue because of a review I read earlier. However, seeing the price reduction to under $3 (kindle) i decided to take a chance. The writing is good, the art and coloring as well. The Sam Wilson character was present throughout the story, unlike what was implied on a review. My only gripe is (* spoiler alert *) it doesn’t conclude the story. Why? We are paying for a series yet no conclusion? This is why I said it is well worth the price....reduction.

Pretty good to see how Sam is figuring out how to be his own Captain America and what it means to be Captain America. I like that it explains the reasons why he was chosen and well, how hard a job it is. It's very human.

4.0 out of 5 stars
Reviewed in Japan on May 30, 2016
