This is very much the intro to the series, featuring most of the teams of pulp heroes and villains in recognisable stereotypes from an earlier era culminating in one last ominous fight.
Then the story jumps to the present day where a mother of one, who's hard of hearing, begins to get caught up in the ramifications from the earlier era.
The artwork is gorgeous and filled with details in the panels.
Well worth reading, and kudos to the artist\writer for their style, and lastly but importantly not least, for having as strong capable woman who just happens to be hard of hearing when wearing hearing aids and completely dead without them. Being the same myself I can vouch for the accuracy of those scenes.
I will certainly be buying the next few issues, and I think you should too.
