Konrad, the pious and deadly warrior who has made it his mission to kill Dorothea, has escaped. Ems launches an all out assault on Nauders, Dorothea's home. Her friend, Princess Else, is blamed for the country's predicament. But Dorothea's in no position to return to help. She and her fellow warriors are caught in a double-cross that leaves them outnumbered and overwhelmed.
